From the enormous statues on stage at this year’s Oscars to the cape worn by Cara Delevingne as she closed the Burberry show at London Fashion Week, transparency is an emerging trend set to dominate in 2014.
Transparent design details are effortlessly chic, contemporary and ideal for creating new perspectives and space, especially within more intimate wedding venues. Details such as stationery (Cutture produce a stunning Cleartouch collection) and clear furniture could subtly feature, or this trend can completely dominate the décor of your wedding.
Transparent marquee roofs and sides allow traditionally unseen scenic backdrops and natural light to be enjoyed. Combined with other textures, transparent features evoke real luxury, giving statement pieces such as chandeliers or dessert tables even more prominence in your reception design.
Illustrating that less can most definitely mean more, transparency is a clear winner this season. Follow us here for a further delve into our see-through design inspiration.
